Want to Join?

What should I do to get started?

Choose the pack or troop which you would like to try out.

Take your child to the scout hall about 5-10 mins before the scheduled start of the meetings you can meet and chat to any of the adult leaders in uniform. We usually encourage the children to attend at least 3 meetings so they can ‘try it out’ and see if they want to join, before they  get invested (and go into uniform) and the Term’s fees are only payable once your child is invested.  ( The term fee covers the cost of the fee which we pay to Scouts South Africa for each cub / scout enrolled  as well as the running costs of the hall.)

You will need to complete an indemnity form each week until your child decides to get invested and thereafter you will need to complete an annual consent form.

Subs will be R550 per term per child and can be paid in two installments if necessary.  There is also a R300.00 once-off joining fee per child(to cover the cost of the scarf, woggle, T-shirt, badges and booklet etc.  which a  scout receives when they are invested into the troop pack).
