General information & costs

General information & costs

The cub packs and troops meet every week during the school term. Subs will be R550 per term per child (from 2015) and can be paid in two installments if necessary.  There is also a R300 once-off joining fee per child(to cover the cost of the scarf, woggle, T-shirt, badges and booklet etc. which a cub / scout receives when they are invested into the cub pack). The joining fee is payable prior to Investiture.

If you take your child to the scout hall about 5-10 mins before the scheduled start of the meetings you can meet and chat to any of the adult leaders in uniform. We usually encourage the children to attend at least 3 meetings before they  are invested and the Term’s fees are only payable once your child is invested.  (The term fee covers the cost of the fee which we pay to Scouts South Africa for each cub / scout enrolled  as well as the running costs of the hall.)

The hall is situated next to the Boskruin Community Centre (but the entrance is in Tintinkie Road (between the Bowling Club and Wendy’s Playschool).  Travel along Kelly Road, turn down Hofsanger Road (at the boom) and then right into Tintinkie Road.
